My 10-year-old daughter was Baptized on Sunday.
Her father is Jewish. I am, by a circuituous route, Spiritual, but not "religous." My parents both celebrated their confirmations -- I was Baptized Catholic, but somewhere thereafter things just fell apart.
I feel good about letting Madison choose her religion. She comes home from CCD with stories of God and Origjnal Sin and Jesus and I can't help but to allow my heart and mind to open just a little bit more. I love it that my daughter is teaching me things I have, until now, had my mind and heart closed to (Uh, oh... ending w/a preposition... "to which I have had my heart closed"). It was a good weekend. Thanks Laurie, for driving here from CANADA to be with us. And I'm glad that we all got to enjoy the wonderful brunch at Summer Kitchen together.
Enjoy the photos. Go to my Facebook page for more...
